Moka is the Go model playing on our homepage. Its 109,569 parameters and browser runtime load in 108 KB. We trained it by distilling KataGo, which labeled 10,000 teacher positions and corrected another 10,000 harder positions from Moka’s own games.
On held-out positions, Moka matches KataGo’s preferred move 46.3% of the time. It won 2 of 100 head-to-head games against KataGo. We estimate Moka plays around 10 kyu on 9×9, below dan level.

Moka’s browser path is about 157× smaller than the teacher path. The point is not to replace KataGo. It is to put a learned Go player inside an ordinary webpage.

Run Moka against itself. Each board samples from its move probabilities, so the games diverge.
